Sustainable mobility is increasingly on the agenda, and the Pierer Mobility group is working to launch new electric motorcycle models as early as next year.
According to Motorcycle.com, these new models will come from the Husqvarna and KTM brands, with a new vehicle identification number submitted to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
These will be KTM’s first electric road models since the Freeride E-SM, produced in 2015 and 2016. Husqvarna previously introduced the E-Pilen as its first electric concept in 2021.
The new motorcycle will retain the Freeride name, while Husqvarna’s model will be called Pioneer. Both will feature the same motor, delivering 5.54 kW (7.4 hp) of power, as well as a lithium-ion battery and an onboard 660W charger.
