As is known, the Red Bull secondary team, currently called AlphaTauri, will have a new name in the next Formula 1 season. And that could be Racing Bulls, not directly linked to a new main sponsor as was speculated with Adidas and Hugo Boss.
The patent department of Austria dealt with a process by Red Bull, initiated in June, for the global registration of the Racing Bulls brand. More recently, in September, the Austrian company submitted the patent application for a corresponding logo, approved last Monday. Both registrations have already been accepted.
If it is indeed the name Racing Bulls that will prevail, only time will tell. What is certain is that it would be in line with what the CEO, Peter Bayer, recently said in an interview – that the name would be ‘classic’, but would not be Toro Rosso again.
