Opel has officially revealed the new Frontera, an SUV that will be available as a battery electric variant from the start, with customers also able to choose versions with 48-volt hybrid technology.
The first images now revealed by the German brand show that the new Frontera features a vertical front silhouette and unique front proportions that combine a functional and spacious cabin volume with a very bold and robust, yet modern and expressive look.
The brand’s new “Blitz” emblem celebrates its debut on a production model and is positioned in the center of the black Opel Vizor, giving the front of the Frontera a unique identity and seamlessly integrating the Eco LED headlights with automatic high beams and the central Opel Blitz. The Vizor is supported by a trapezoidal cooling opening in the lower third and enhances the solid and robust stance of the new SUV.
The side view reveals a distinct C-pillar, visually dividing the spacious cabin. Additionally, the wheel arches and fenders have a pronounced image, giving the newly arrived model a solid and modern appearance.
The modern image continues inside, with horizontal decorations on the dashboard and doors. In addition, the Frontera is equipped with the typical Pure Panel cockpit, completely digital, with two 10’’ screens and an infotainment system.
Still inside, the Frontera features a boot with over 460 liters of storage capacity, which can reach 600 liters with the rear seats folded down.
When it comes to engines, Opel offers a 100% electric version, along with variants with 48-volt hybrid technology.
“With its combination of robust design, space, intelligent solutions, and efficient propulsion units, our new Opel Frontera will appeal to a wide range of customers looking to stand out from the crowd. It is ideal for urban and suburban environments, offering a rejuvenating experience to our customers”, stated Opel CEO, Florian Huettl.
