Ott Tänak says goodbye to M-Sport Ford in the World Rally Championship (WRC) this weekend. The Rally of Japan is the last act of the driver’s second stint with the team, which lasted only one season. After many ups and downs, including two victories, he is still fighting for third place in the championship, which is 22 points away.
The Estonian faces the Japanese round aware of the challenges that await him, emphasizing that the goal will be to close the year satisfactorily:
– I’m really looking forward to Japan, I’m a big fan of their gastronomy, but also the nature looks beautiful there at this time of year and the nights are very cold. In Japan, there are usually deep forest roads that are very technical and slow, but as they narrow down there are no shortcuts. We achieved the maximum in the Central Europe Rally and the goal is to finish our season well in Japan.
