Each bike has its own characteristics and, consequently, different requirements in terms of riding. This is a subject Miguel Oliveira was asked about before the French MotoGP Grand Prix.
The Trackhouse Racing rider explained what the 2024 Aprilia RS-GP demands in terms of riding, starting by mentioning that the entry and exit of the corner are important moments:
– This bike allows you to turn quite good in the corner. It’s all about the exit, how much power you can have during the exit. Our bike seems to be a little bit difficult to accept that much power when you pick up. So you have to pay attention on the entry. You can brake late, but I would say these 5/10 meters later probably only the Ducatis or KTMs can actually do it because they can run wide and still come back with a lot of power.
Oliveira added: ‘We have to pay attention to that entry phase, but generally is a bike that it’s quite good. You can’t kill the speed so much, so you have to pay attention to that’.
