Ducati has unveiled further details about its upcoming motocross sports project set to kick off next year. The Ducati Corse Off-Road division has been established for this purpose, and it will be spearheaded by Paolo Ciabatti.
The now former sporting director of Ducati Corse will assume the role of general manager for Ducati Corse Off-Road, directly reporting to the manufacturer’s CEO, Claudio Domenicali. He will also continue to oversee programs in major national Superbike and Supersport championships.
This new branch of Ducati aims to organize and manage the motocross sporting program, which is expected to reach the MXGP World Championship and AMA Supercross in the coming years. For 2024, activities will focus on national competitions as part of a developmental stage initiated this year by test riders Alessandro Lupino and Tony Cairoli.
