The new MotoGP season is about to begin, and it’s time to make predictions and think about expectations for what might happen. Mick Doohan was asked about what to expect from the season starting within a week.
The former rider spoke to the MotoGP official website about young riders, particularly Pedro Acosta, but also argued that it is premature to make any judgments about the pecking order:
– There’s a bunch of young guys coming through as well. Acosta could be a bit of a wildcard in there, it just depends on what GasGas is like. But really it’s the early days and I didn’t really see much of the testing – I’ve seen some results, but I didn’t see much more. […]. After the first three/four races, generally we get a bit more of an idea. I’m looking forward to be able to watch it again and then hopefully to attend to one or two races this year.
