Pedro Acosta is the man of the moment. After three races, the Spanish rider’s future is one of the most discussed topics in the paddock. The Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider has produced very positive results and there is already talk of him joining the official KTM team next year. The question that remains is which rider will have to leave.
That said, Jack Miller is the most likely candidate to leave, given the Australian’s less positive results in recent GPs. Brad Binder is likely to stay with the factory team, where he continues to fight for the top spots. Pedro Acosta, on the other hand, is rumored to sign for the official team later this year.
Motorsport-Magazine.com asked Pit Beirer about the possibility of Acosta joining the team this year and Beirer replied: ‘Pedro’s achievements are remarkable, but we don’t plan to change. All our riders have flexible contracts that allow them to race for any team under our banner, but there are no plans to reshuffle during the season.
He added: ‘We now have two successful riders, which helps us to better identify and address the weak points of our bike. This will definitely make us stronger in the future.’
