The younger ones do not remember the 205 Turbo 16, a hidden driving machine behind an accessible utility “body”, developed by Peugeot Talbot Sport for the World Rally Championship in the 1980s, giving rise to a special edition 205 Rallye, limited to only 30,000 units worldwide.
Now, this icon of the past has been honored by the Swiss dealer Garages Hotz, who launched a special edition 208 Rallye, of which only 50 units will be sold.
Among the exclusive elements of this special series, highlights include the 16″ white steel wheels and the darkened headlights, inspired by the original, as well as the stripes with the colors of Peugeot Talbot Sport. Inside, the steering wheel has the obligatory red stitching, the dashboard has carbon fiber-inspired accents, and… not much else: the engine is the well-known 1.2 PuretTech with 100 hp, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, with no other modifications.
