Exactly one week ago KTM was present in the MotoGP Jerez tests and had in Brad Binder their best man. Francesco Guidotti assured the team gathered the data they needed, while Pol Espargaró tested to what is needed right now, and Dani Pedrosa was looking ahead instead.
Speaking about the work done, Guidotti said: ‘We had things to test in pretty much every area of the bike! It’s been a long weekend. Good conditions but it got windy later in the day. We made some interesting discoveries that we might use soon’.
KTM’s Team Manager confirmed also the work done with the aero package: ‘We had a small delay with the aero but also worked on the suspension and ride height devices. This was one of three tests we have this season, so it was important, and we gathered the data we needed’.
And revelead that both test riders, Espargaró and Pedrosa, had different goals in mind: ‘With our riders we worked on the short-term competitiveness but Pol – and Dani this past weekend – were working on the mid-term. Overall, a good day’.
