A Polestar, Lotus, Volvo, three brands majority owned by the Geely Group, and Jaguar Land Rover, have formed an alliance to explore and develop battery charging for electric vehicles in China.
The new partnership will allow the four brands to work together to establish battery charging standards for luxury car brands, according to Polestar.
It is worth noting that this is not the first alliance between brands in China aimed at electric mobility, as Mercedes-Benz and BMW announced last month that their respective subsidiaries in China – Mercedes-Benz Group China and BMW Brilliance Automotive – will create an electric charging network to provide a premium experience for their customers.
