QJMotor is thinking bigger and bigger, and after seeing the (practically definitive) SRK 1000 RC Ten78 concept presented at EICMA 2023, it is launching the SRK 921 RR Race on the Chinese market. There’s a lot of Italian in these two sports bikes, and the collaboration with Giovanni Castiglioni’s C-Creative has allowed them to draw on the creativity of engineer Paolo Bianchi and well-known designer Adrian Morton, the fathers of MV Agusta.
Both bikes are equipped with four-cylinder engines that clearly derive from MV, even the displacement is reminiscent of models from the past (to be precise, the F4 1078 312 and the Brutale 920), 1078 cc for the SRK 1000 and 920 cc for the SRK 921 RR Race that officially enters the lists of the Chinese brand.
Its engine has 129 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 93 Nm at 8,000 rpm, while the declared weight is 215 kg in running order (with a full 16-liter tank). This is no small feat, and indicates that the pursuit of lightness was not one of the pillars of the design, although for a bike that will be sold for the equivalent of €8,900, you can’t complain.
If the aesthetics are decidedly attractive and modern, even underneath the clothes, the SRK 921 is well put together, the brakes are Brembo, with four-piston radial front calipers and equipped with ABS, the suspension is supplied by Marzocchi, while there is no shortage of traction control, and it is also said to be equipped with an IMU platform.
The SRK 921 RR Race has a 5-inch TFT color screen and integrated smartphone connectivity, while it also has a dashcam on the front. So far, it is not known whether this QJ will be sold in markets other than China.
