Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia are among the biggest MotoGP stars of today’s grid, having, between the two, enjoyed a bit rivalry that had his biggest moment in 2022. Now together at a Track Day, courtesy of Monster, both had the possibility to enjoy the track in a more relaxed way.
The Yamaha rider looked at the day at Silverstone with a lot of excitment, saying: ‘It’s about having the chance to be on track with riders that you never usually would. It’s been a lot of fun and the first time I’ve ridden an R1 since 2021! It’s a great opportunity to take part in something unique’.
As for Bagnaia, two time world champion in the past two years, highlighted the diversity of riders that were on track: ‘It’s incredible to have this mix of riders. Also, useful! I always struggle a bit with my first laps here at Silverstone and [riding the Panigale] is completely different, but the more you ride where you have to race then it helps’.
He saw this as a practice, in a way: ‘It’s a physically demanding circuit because it’s so fast and you have to be very precise with the changes of direction. I love it…but it’s also very tricky!’.
Marco Bezzecchi, Álex Rins and Fabio Di Giannantonio were also among the riders present that are currently disputing the MotoGP championship.
