Raúl Fernández began the MotoGP season with last year’s version of the Aprilia RS-GP. However, from the outset, the Noale manufacturer has ensured that the plan is to have four identical bikes on the track.
Nevertheless, as the plans for the Trackhouse Racing satellite team were only finalized at a late stage, it was not logistically possible to immediately provide the 2024 RS-GP for the Spanish rider.
For now, there is no fully guaranteed date for this upgrade, but Fernández indicated it could be after the summer break scheduled for July: ‘About the bike, it looks like the bike will arrive after the summer break. We don’t know at 100%, this is the plan’.
With the 2023 bike, Oliveira’s teammate has been a regular points scorer and fought for the top five in last Sunday’s Catalan GP – achieving sixth place, which is his best result so far. He is just one point behind the Portuguese rider in the championship standings.
