Raúl Fernández is one of the several MotoGP riders without a contract for the 2025 season. As his current contract with Trackhouse Racing ends at the conclusion of this season, his future remains uncertain. However, Fernández is not allowing this uncertainty to distract him from his current tasks.
Speaking to the press, the Spanish rider emphasized that his focus is entirely on his present work and not on what 2025 might hold:
– It’s too early to say something. I know what I want, but I’m really focused on my job. I try to not think too much; I think we are in the wrong moment to think, and I have a good team behind me that is working on that.
Currently, Fernández stands 12th in the championship standings. Despite riding last year’s version of the Aprilia, he is three positions ahead and one point clear of his teammate Miguel Oliveira, who rides the 2024 RS-GP.
The #25 has been a consistent presence in the points-scoring positions, with a sixth place being his best result of the year so far. This is his third season in the premier class, following his debut with Tech3 in 2022 and his stint with the now-defunct RNF team in 2023, before transitioning to Aprilia’s new satellite team this year.
