The third stage of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge took place this Thursday, with Ross Branch being the fastest. The race counts towards the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), and in the overall standings, Aaron Maré continues to lead.
There were 252km timed with the start and finish in Mezaira’a. Branch (Hero MotoSports) was the fastest on the course, completing it in 3h36m39s. He surpassed Konrad Dabrowski (Duust Rally Team/KTM) by 3m05s, with Jeanloup Lepan (Duust Rally Team/KTM) finishing third. Maré (Hero MotoSports) and Jan Brabec (Strojrent Racing/KTM) completed the top five.
With just two days left, Maré remains atop the overall standings of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, but his lead has decreased to 5m05s. Dabrowski is second, with Lepan in third, Branch in fourth, and Brabec in fifth – the latter now more than an hour behind the leader.
