Ultimately, you never know where life will take you, so it’s possible that it will take me back to the wheel, or maybe not.”
Although Vettel confirmed that he had discussions with his long-time confidant, Wolff, he clarified that these conversations were not specifically initiated because of the Mercedes situation.
“I talked to him, but not really about the seat. We briefly discussed the overall situation,” Vettel stated. “However, I have also talked to other people because I still keep in touch with people in the world of Formula 1. I have some projects and ideas in collaboration with F1, so we will see if they come to fruition or not. I am staying connected. It will probably take a few more phone calls and conversations to get more information. But undoubtedly, the Mercedes seat is one of the most desirable in the paddock. In terms of performance, Mercedes has a solid track record, despite facing some challenges in recent years. Even when they have difficulties, they still manage to secure second and third places in the Constructors’ Championship. They are definitely not running in isolation.”
