Sergio García dominated and won the Moto2 Grand Prix of the Americas, making his debut on the highest step of the podium in this category. The Spaniard took the lead right from the first corner and never let go, building a comfortable, though not overly extensive, gap to his pursuers.
After the first corner, García (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro) led the race. The starts of Fermín Aldeguer (Beta Tools SpeedUp/Boscoscuro) and Arón Canet (Fantic Racing/Kalex) were not so good, as they lost several positions.

In the early stages of the race, Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) emerged as García’s main pursuer, with Dennis Foggia (Italtrans Racing Team/Kalex) in third.
The positions at the top remained stable. The Speed Up duo, Alonso López and Aldeguer, reached fourth and fifth respectively, while Canet recovered to sixth with 12 laps to go, but would lose the position to Ai Ogura (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro) shortly after.
García’s lead seemed solid halfway through the race, with a gap of more than a second. There were no changes in the podium positions, although Aldeguer was closing in on Foggia’s third place. With six laps to go, the Spaniard finally made the overtake.

There was still time to try to reach at least second place… and he managed to do it four laps from the end… but Roberts responded on the penultimate lap and regained the position.
Indifferent to the battles behind him, García maintained the lead until the end and was the winner. On the final lap, Roberts came very close, finishing just 0.492s behind. Aldeguer finished fourth, López crossed the finish line in fourth, and Marcos Ramírez (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) was fifth. Canet lost momentum in the final laps and finished ninth.
