The second generation of the Skoda Enyaq will arrive in the market in 2028, debuting the Volkswagen Group’s SSP platform and batteries with a new design, among many other innovations.
Klaus Zellmer, CEO of the Czech brand, in an interview with Autocar magazine, states that the successor to the electric SUV that the brand currently has on sale is one of its most ambitious projects, also due to the increasing success of the model, which surpassed 54,000 units in 2022, a 41% increase compared to the previous year.
Among the innovations of the Skoda Enyaq Mk2, Zellmer highlights a new unified battery system, which allows for 10-80% charging in just 12 minutes, a significant advancement compared to the current generation, which takes 35 minutes to reach the same percentage of charge.
