In this way, the models of the Czech brand that are based on the MEB GP and MQB EVO platforms, such as some versions of the Skoda Enyaq, the new generations of the Superb and Kodiaq, and the updated Octavia, will benefit from this new functionality, which is activated through Cerence Chat Pro. It will allow the voice assistant “Laura” to control the infotainment system, navigation, and air conditioning, as well as answer general knowledge questions.
“Integrating ChatGPT into our voice assistant ‘Laura’ is just the latest way Skoda is adapting advanced technology to improve the driving experience,” said Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto.
In the future, the Czech brand aims for artificial intelligence to allow for “dialogue” with the driver and interact in other ways, which could be useful during a car journey for the safety of the driver and passengers.
