Franco Morbidelli had a very challenging start to the MotoGP season due to an injury he sustained at the end of January, which kept him out of all the pre-season tests. As a result, he had to adapt to the Prima Pramac and Ducati teams during the Grand Prix events.
Gino Borsoi, Pramac’s team manager, mentioned in an interview on the broadcast on the official MotoGP website that the rider is making progress, and the focus is on maintaining this trajectory:
– For sure he’s coming better and better. We already forgot everything about the start of the season; we are really focusing on what we can do right now. His performance is becoming better and better every race, and we want to continue on this way.
The Italian manager believes it’s just a matter of time before Morbidelli secures his first podium: ‘We know we have an incredibly talented rider, so sooner or later he will be on the podium, I’m pretty sure’.
Currently, Morbidelli is 12th in the championship, with his best result so far being a fifth place in the German GP. This past weekend, he finished 10th in the British GP, marking his fourth consecutive top-ten finish.
