In recent days, Mexico has been hit by Hurricane Otis. The storm killed dozens of people in the state of Guerrero, with the resort city of Acapulco suffering extensive damage – just before the Mexico City Formula 1 Grand Prix.
In the face of this tragedy, the president and CEO of the premier category, Stefano Domenicali, did not fail to express solidarity, stating in a statement: ‘Our thoughts and condolences go out to all the victims of Hurricane Otis and their loved ones’.
The Italian leader also said: ‘The Mexican people are close to our hearts and are a huge part of our sport. We pray that the storm dissipates soon so that the essential recovery efforts can begin’.
