The qualification for the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix was marked by an early end due to a strong storm that hit the circuit area, not only with rain but also with strong winds. And there was damage.
Photographer Andy Hone, who has been following the championship for several years, posted images on social media of the collapsed roof of the stands at the last corner of Interlagos.
The photographer even revealed that he escaped unharmed from what could have been a serious incident: ‘What a scary ten minutes on the track! A stand roof collapsed at the last corner and I almost got decapitated by the falling debris!’
