It was a golden age for Rally Raid motorcycles, and Suzuki showed personality and substance through its presence in what were the first editions of the Paris-Dakar. Initially the DR 350, then the DRZ 400, followed by the single-cylinder DR 650, with its unstoppable air/oil-cooled 650. The name Djebel derives from the highest mountain range in the Atlas and refers to the theme of adventure and great journeys, now as then.
Nearly thirty years later, Suzuki chose Motor Bike Expo to present this color on the bike that perhaps best represents the desire to travel without limits, the one that doesn’t want to take away the pleasure of doing a bit of off-road with quality and fun, the V-Strom 800 DE.
The nostalgia operation seems very successful, this V-Strom 800 Djebel convinces even those who may not be familiar with the history linking these graphics to the Suzuki brand. Pleasantly designed, the graphics also involve the lower engine guard, which is reminiscent of blue and light blue, the graphic balance is not bad at all, but it doesn’t end there…
The Djebel version includes the best equipment for this V-Strom 800DE, in order: the gold rims, which for the Djebel include Dunlop Trailmax Raid tires, and finally, as the icing on the cake, the titanium exhaust with the Akrapovič signature.
The rest remains unchanged: the engine, chassis and electronics are the same as the standard version.
