Ferrari selects customers for its most special and limited series to avoid selling to speculators. Something that apparently also concerns Elon Musk and Tesla regarding their Cybertruck pickup.

Now, concerned about stopping the inflated sale of the first Cybertrucks to hit the market, Tesla has included a new clause in the contract that prevents resale in the first year of ownership, allowing the brand to “demand compensation for liquidated damages in the amount of $50,000, or the consideration received for the sale or transfer”. The terms of the Cybertruck purchase contract also provide that offending resellers may be prevented from buying Tesla vehicles in the future.
