Just in time for Christmas, Scalextric has just added to its catalog of exclusive miniatures the Audi grandsphere concept, a slot car that will only be available in a limited edition of 40 units, all numbered, painted, and hand-assembled, after the 3D printing process of all components, guaranteeing spectacular quality and precision.
Unveiled in 2021, the grandsphere, which was the fourth and final prototype of the Sphere series, served as the inspiration for the next generation of the Audi A8, set to be released in 2024, only as a 100% electric proposal.
With a length of 5.35 meters and a wheelbase of 3.19 meters, the concept features a configuration of two electric motors, providing a combined power of 520 hp and a maximum torque of 960 Nm, allowing for an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in just over 4 seconds and permanent all-wheel drive.
A 120 kWh battery ensures a range of 750 kilometers, in addition to the ability to support charging powers up to 270 kWh, guaranteeing about 300 km with just 10 minutes of charging.
