Honda NX500
The Honda NX500 has been on the market since 2024 and replaces the famous CB500X. It is equipped with a powerful 2-cylinder in-line engine that produces 48 hp at 8,600 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The robust steel frame and high-quality frame components make it a reliable companion on and off the road. With features such as ABS, traction control and a TFT display, the NX500 offers a comprehensive adventure experience.
Royal Enfield Himalayan
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is a serious competitor to the Honda NX500. Its 452 cc single-cylinder engine with 40 hp at 8000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm makes it an exciting choice for off-road enthusiasts. The latest version represents an impressive evolution of the original concept, which continues to focus on accessibility and an authentic sense of adventure. Specific improvements in key areas, such as the brakes and frame, have made the Himalayan even more practical and fun to ride. Particularly noteworthy is the TripperDash with 3D Google Maps navigation as an unexpected highlight. Far from the performance madness of Western touring enduros, the Himalayan offers a practical, accessible and fun motorcycle experience for adventures of all kinds. The engine impresses with its simple response and low vibrations, while the frame is superbly tuned. Finally, the bike has effective brakes, which significantly improves safety and control. Modern navigation via TripperDash, combined with extremely good ergonomics when standing and sitting, ensures a comfortable riding experience. With a very high payload, extensive standard equipment and an impressive range, the Himalayan offers a complete package. However, the finish could be optimized and the navigation system can overload the smartphone battery. There is also room for improvement in terms of wind protection. Overall, however, the Royal Enfield Himalayan remains an attractive choice for motorcycle enthusiasts who value an uncomplicated thirst for adventure.
BMW G 310 GS
The BMW G 310 GS is characterized by its compact design and comfortable riding position. Its 313 cc engine delivers 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. With a tubular trellis frame, an inverted telescopic fork and high-quality brakes, the G 310 GS offers a lot of motorcycle for its price. The G 310 GS is an excellent entry-level bike for those who want to combine a thirst for adventure with everyday utility. With its comfortable riding position, light weight and high-quality finishes, it offers a comfortable riding experience that is equally suitable for commuting and day trips. The throttle response, which is easy for beginners, makes it easy to get to grips with the bike. The G 310 GS can also be used on light off-road terrain, thus broadening its field of application. However, it should be noted that the power output of 34 hp is aimed more at beginners. Although this is advantageous for beginners, the limited power at higher speeds makes us wish for more power. Nevertheless, the BMW G 310 GS impresses with its balanced combination of comfort, maneuverability and ease of use for beginners.
