When it comes to aerodynamic solutions, there are those that are aesthetically unappealing (to say the least…), but that’s not the case with the new rear section of the Aprilia RS-GP.
The intricate aerodynamic profile of the Italian bike’s rear seat unit, which somewhat resembles the old Cadillacs, is quite sophisticated while also providing a distinctive aesthetic effect.
Whether it proves to be an asset as intended remains to be seen, awaiting feedback from Aprilia’s riders and technicians. Judging by the timing sheet, it seems to be fast: with 1h15m left in the day, the three current RS-GPs are in the top 12, less than a second behind the leader, Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
