Luca Marini has only had a short time working with Repsol Honda, but the first impact was considerably positive – on the testing day in Valencia last November.
The Italian reported to the Por Orejas podcast: ‘The sync we all had was incredible, the day before the test was already like that, talking to the team people, Alberto [Puig, team manager], with the Japanese, it was truly good, with a very good feeling. They are people with a lot of experience in MotoGP; they know perfectly well what the goal is, and so do I’.
According to Marini, there is an atmosphere where everyone is rowing in the same direction: ‘From the first moment, we were all aligned in the same direction, and that’s what I like the most, that we all have the same dream of fighting to get back to the front as soon as possible’.
