Fabio Quartararo finished the Le Mans GP without scoring. The French rider failed to finish his home GP and is now 12th in the MotoGP world championship.
In a debrief, the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team rider spoke about the feelings and events of Sunday’s race.
– Unfortunately I crashed, but I was in 6th position and at least we did our best over the weekend. I felt that this will be our new base for the next GPs, today I felt that I was riding very well, now we have the tests in Jerez to see how we are and to improve these things, I think we are on the right track.
Asked how it felt to be back in the fight with the Aprilia during the race: ‘Psychologically it was good, of course I’m frustrated not to finish the race, but I managed to be close to the riders in front and Aleix, seeing the riders on the podium was good, my pace wasn’t bad. Today was the first race we were able to fight and step by step we’re improving, it will take time but it will come. I was on the limit from the first lap, when you’re in front of your audience you want to give everything, but I think I pushed too hard and crashed because I was giving everything.
