What a dream weekend for Toprak Razgatlioglu! The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team rider achieved yet another victory on the Italian circuit and thus secured a triple victory, escaping (even further) to the top of the world championship table.
As in today’s Superpole race, the lead in the first laps didn’t even go to #54, with Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) being at the front of the race during the first seven laps, but as soon as Razgatlioglu took the lead of the race no longer lost it.
The Turk would actually end up winning the race by crossing the finish line with a 2.980s advantage over the #11, while Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) ended the day with a place on the podium, he who fell in this Superpole morning with five laps to go.
Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) was fourth and Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) fifth, with Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team) sixth.
This was an absolutely memorable weekend for Razgatlioglu who managed to break record after record:
