Toprak Razgatlioglu aims to compete in MotoGP in 2025, but nothing is confirmed yet. If he makes the switch, it will have to be after reaching an agreement with ROKiT BMW, the team he represents in the Superbike World Championship, and with a factory team.
The 2021 world champion’s manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, mentioned a few weeks ago that BMW had already been informed of the rider’s intentions. Now, he provided an update in an interview with SPEEDWEEK.com:
– I saw that some MotoGP satellite teams are also talking about Toprak. But we have never contacted a satellite team. Some factory teams have shown interest in Toprak for the 2025 season – if there is a chance, they would like Toprak. But we have a two-year contract with BMW.
Considering this contract, there is an agreement between Sofuoglu and Razgatlioglu – the move to MotoGP will only happen with BMW’s consent, without any contractual breach: ‘We don’t want to argue, we love BMW and have already achieved great success together. We are happy and want to continue this relationship for a longer time’, said the manager.
