The Honda XL750 Transalp is one of the most popular adventure bikes on the market today. Born out of Honda’s desire to dominate the mid-range ADV segment, the Transalp dares to challenge the likes of the Yamaha Tenere 700 and the Aprilia Tuareg 660, combining off-road capability with the comfort of long-distance travel.
Naturally, all factory bikes are made with a certain degree of compromise. In this respect, Touratech, one of the most recognized and reliable brands on the market, may have exactly what Honda Transalp owners who intend to travel long distances want with its new Comfort Seats.
The Comfort Seats are made in Germany and developed and produced by Touratech’s partner, Crew68, with the idea of being easy to use and comfortable. That’s why both are easy to install, allowing you to switch between the Comfort Seat and the original seat for various riding situations.
In terms of construction, the seats strike a balance between comfort and firmness, since you want a seat that sits in the balance zone. Touratech achieves this with a firm foam core and a hollow groove along the seat. These are said to provide additional support while relieving pressure on the coccyx.
On the outside, Touratech has applied Fresh Touch fabric to the seat, which is waterproof and durable for greater longevity. The seat cover also has a suede-like finish, which Touratech claims reflects infrared sunlight, thus reducing the heating of the surface when you return to your bike hours after parking it in the sun, for example.
For a wider audience, the XL750 Transalp seats can be customized with a choice of three seat height options, as well as the firmness of the foam.
