Nissan has revived the Evalia name in Europe with a new iteration of the Townstar. The new model with five or seven seats is available with gasoline or 100% electric powertrains.
Therefore, the new Nissan Townstar Evalia fully electric is available with a single electric motor producing 122 hp and 245 Nm of maximum torque. The electric motor is powered by a 45 kWh battery that promises a range of 265 km and is compatible with continuous charging of 80 kW, allowing the battery to be recharged from 15 to 80% in 37 minutes.
The version with a combustion engine uses a 1.3-liter turbo gasoline engine that delivers 130 hp.
The Nissan Townstar Evalia succeeds the old e-NV200 and is produced in the L2 body of the Townstar, which Nissan introduced in 2023. In this configuration, it has an extended wheelbase of 3.100 meters, making it 384 mm longer than the L1 version.
This additional length contributes to more interior space with second and third-row seats that are sliding, foldable, and removable, providing a cargo area with a capacity of up to 3750 liters.
Furthermore, the Townstar Evalia also benefits from a 49-liter storage space in the front cabin that allows for accommodating small objects.
In terms of safety and driving assistance systems, the new Nissan family model is equipped with a Nissan-exclusive Intelligent Around View Monitor, blind spot warning, intelligent emergency braking, driver drowsiness alert, front and rear parking sensors, and e-Call functionality.
