Just over a week ago, Davide Brivio was announced as the new team principal of Trackhouse Racing in MotoGP. Such a high-profile hiring might have required extensive negotiations, but that wasn’t the case.
Jeremy Appleton, a consultant for Trackhouse, told the press that everything unfolded quickly, and the initial approach came from the team itself rather than Brivio:
– From what I understand, Justin made the first move and when it became clear that Davide was leaving Alpine, then the question was put and the conversation developed very quickly. This has came about in an extremely short space of time.
Wilco Zeelenberg continues as team manager with Brivio’s arrival. The riders are Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández, staying with Aprilia’s satellite team.
