Trackhouse Racing will enter MotoGP in 2024 as a satellite team of Aprilia, fielding riders Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández. Owner Justin Marks is currently focused on laying the groundwork for the future success he aims to achieve, emphasizing the determination to win in the long term.
In an interview with SPEEDWEEK.com, the entrepreneur clarified that, for now, it’s a phase of building: ‘The current goal will be to build our relationship with Aprilia and organize the material for 2024 for our two riders. We need to get to know the team and identify the team’s needs. Of course, we are looking at the market and talking to potential sponsors. We have had many good conversations already. We want to be successful in this area and not start the commitment in MotoGP with a short budget. That said, we are taking care to build a good team’.
Despite the modesty for now, Marks emphasized that the ambition for the future of the MotoGP project is very high: ‘Right now, our priority is to assemble a good team. But in the future, we want to appeal to and convince the best drivers in the world, all those who have only wanted to ride for factory teams until now. At some point, we can talk about podiums and wins’.
