In the last of three consecutive rounds, the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 World Championships head to Buriram for the Thai GP. The title races continue in all categories and remain wide open.
Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) leads the MotoGP World Championship with a 27-point advantage over Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati). While mathematically there are more riders with a chance to win the title, the battle appears to be destined between these two. Martín seeks to recover from a less positive run of results, where he missed the podium twice in a row, something that hadn’t happened since Austria.
In Moto2, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo/Kalex) holds a 56-point lead over Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex). The title can be clinched this weekend if Acosta leaves Buriram with at least a 76-point margin. Jake Dixon (GasGas Aspar/Kalex) is third in the standings but is mathematically out of contention, and the best he can aim for is second place.
Moto3 is the category with the most riders involved in the title race. Jaume Masiá (Leopard Racing/Honda) leads with 217 points, just four more than Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP). In third place, Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech#9) is 22 points behind the leader, making it possible for him to overtake in a single round. More challenging but still possible are the ambitions of David Alonso (GasGas Aspar) and Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo), who share fourth place, 37 points behind the leader.
