Saturday’s schedule for the Malaysian GP is significantly delayed due to two red flags in the third practice session of the Moto2 World Championship. By the time the second free practice for MotoGP was supposed to start, about half of the intermediate category session is yet to be completed, interrupted twice.
First, roughly half an hour from the checkered flag, Izán Guevara (Inde GasGas Aspar/Kalex) suffered a heavy crash at Turn 3 in Sepang, prompting a suspension.
Later, in the last 20 minutes, Darryn Binder (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP/Kalex) went off at Turn 1, damaging the air-fence barrier, which led to about half an hour of interruption for repairs.
