Next year, Valentino Rossi will compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), marking his debut in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It will be his third full-time season in motorsport.
After leaving MotoGP at the end of 2021, the Italian dedicated himself to the GT World Challenge Europe, taking his initial steps into professional four-wheel motorsport. Now, he’ll join Team WRT and BMW in the WEC, which is the premier endurance championship.
However, Rossi will debut in the secondary category, the new LMGT3. He’ll be driving a BMW M4 GT3 with two teammates yet to be announced. Earlier this month, Il Dottore had his first experience with WEC by participating in rookie test in an LMP2. In the future, he may move up to the top class, where BMW will also be present in 2024
