Verstappen denies that the RB20 car has performed poorly and attributes the convergence of the grid to other teams replicating Red Bull’s concept. He acknowledges that the current regulations limit creative freedom and make it easier for teams to reach a performance limit. Verstappen hopes that his rivals will continue to close in and recognizes the need to perform at his best in every race to maintain the championship lead.
