After causing a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle, a man has been sentenced to prison.
Nikesh Mistry, 34, of Groundsel Close, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, following a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on December 20, 2023. Mistry’s sentencing took place last week, on March 13, when he was sentenced to a total of four years and 10 months in prison. He was also disqualified from driving for the same period of time and will have to take a new test to regain his license.
The incident for which Mistry was convicted took place on November 19, 2022, when he was driving a BMW 320i near the Walton traffic circle in Milton Keynes. Thames Valley Police claim that there was a non-verbal interaction between Mistry and the driver of a motorcycle, who had stopped next to the BMW when they entered the traffic circle.
