The Sprint Shootout did not end well for Esteban Ocon at the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix. The driver lost control of his Alpine, causing a red flag.
It was at the exit of the “Senna S” that Ocon saw the car slip away from him after a passage through the curbs. He tried to correct it, but without success.
A few meters ahead was Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), and the Frenchman collided with the rival’s car before crashing forcefully into the barriers. Despite extensive damage to the A523, Ocon walked away unscathed.
