The Monaco GP ended almost as soon as it started for three drivers, who were involved in a spectacular accident at the back of the field: Sergio Pérez (Red Bull) and the Haas of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg.
Further up the track, Pérez was eventually hit from behind by Magnussen after the first corner, as the Danish driver tried to overtake him on the right and ran out of space.
Hülkenberg was close behind and couldn’t avoid the confusion. The Mexican’s Red Bull was quite damaged and the track was littered with debris, but none of the drivers involved suffered major injuries.
