In what was the final lap of the race, Yuki Tsunoda set the fastest race time at the United States Grand Prix in Formula 1.
With freshly mounted soft tires on the AlphaTauri, the Japanese driver clocked a time of 1m38.139s to be faster than anyone else in a single lap in Austin last Sunday. As a result, he secured an extra point after finishing ninth.
The DHL Fastest Lap Award, given to the driver with the most fastest laps throughout the season, had already been secured by Max Verstappen (Red Bull) since Qatar.
