Michael van der Mark begins another season in the Superbike World Championship with BMW. So far, his journey has been heavily marked by injuries, which was also the case last year. However, he remains committed to the team’s high ambitions.
Quoted on the championship’s official website, the Dutch rider emphasized that he is fully dedicated to the common goal of winning, expressing confidence in the team’s potential to achieve it:
– I think we all have one goal in BMW, and that’s to win. So, I’m trying really hard, and BMW is pushing really hard. I have a lot of confidence in the project. Signing Toprak [Razgatlioglu], changing a lot of things inside… I have a lot of confidence we’ll get there
Despite BMW’s increased investment and greater team exposure, van der Mark assured that he does not feel any extra pressure: ‘I don’t feel pressure. I love to see that they’re putting a lot of effort in, more and more. It gives me more confidence. The confidence from seeing them pushing that hard, I think it will make me faster as well’.
