It is with the certainty that KTM has grown during the winter that Francesco Guidotti looks at the next season but, highlighting that also the brand’s opponents got stronger.
After many days in Sepang, KTM’s Team Manager spoke about very ‘intense’ days: ‘It was more than three days in Malaysia because I was also there at the Shakedown, it were ten very intense and interesting days. We kickoff off somehow the season so back on track’.
Asked if he feels he is closer to Ducati, the main reference currently in the worlds, the italian said: ‘It’s difficult to say, we know more of less were we are but it’s always hard to know where the contenders are, that is the biggest question mark. What you can do and what you have done during the winter and when we are back on track we can see the level. I think we moved forward but so it looks like our opponents, they didn’t rest a lot during the winter. It’s still two days of testing then we will see’.
The next MotoGP Tests take place in Lusail, Qatar, on 19th and 20th of this month.
