Francesco Bagnaia finished third in the Sprint race of the Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix after starting from pole position. He trailed behind the winner Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
The disappointment of the Italian Ducati rider was evident in the interview with the official broadcast, admitting that he did not have good sensations and lacked the means to contend for the victory:
– We needed the maximum and today the maximum wasn’t enough to win. This race will help us to understand something for tomorrow. My feeling wasn’t the best, absolutely.
