The Regulatory Entity for Energy Services (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels increased by 1.3% for gasoline and 1.9% for diesel compared to last week.
According to the ERSE report, the efficient price had an update, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for 95 simple gasoline at +3.1% and simple diesel at +3.8%”.
Thus, “for the week of December 25 to 31, the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.775/liter for 95 simple gasoline and €0.873 for simple diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente is €1.664 per liter for 95 simple gasoline and €1.619 for simple diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freight, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs with the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was observed that the average of the Prices Announced to the Public on the portals, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, was 3.7 cents per liter above the Preço Eficiente for that week, in the case of 95 simple gasoline, and 4.3 cents above in the case of simple diesel”.
In percentage terms, “95 simple gasoline was announced on the portals 2.2% above the Preço Eficiente and simple diesel was 2.6% above”, according to the report.
