The Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels has increased by 2.3% for gasoline and diesel compared to last week.
According to the ERSE report, the efficient price has been updated, “taking into account the weekly variation in international prices for regular 95 gasoline by +5.6% and for regular diesel by +4.8%”.
Thus, “for the week of January 29 to February 4, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.814 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €0.910 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente stands at €1.712 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €1.665 for regular diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freights, primary logistics (including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System), additional costs related to the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component plus respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the announced Retail Prices reported on the energy portal was 3.9 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for regular 95 gasoline, and 2.6 cents above for regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular 95 gasoline was announced on the energy portal 2.3% above the Efficient Price, and regular diesel was 1.6% above”, according to the report.
