The Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels increased compared to last week, 1.7% for gasoline and 2.6% for diesel.
According to the ERSE report, the efficient price experienced an update, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for regular gasoline at + 3.5% and for regular diesel at + 3.4%”.
Thus, “for the week of January 22-28, the efficient price before taxes is €0.783 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.880 for regular diesel. After taxes, the efficient price is €1.674 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.627 for regular diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs related to the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the Prices Announced to the Public on the signs, reported in the Single Energy Counter, was 5 cents per liter higher than the efficient price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 4.9 cents higher in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular gasoline was announced on the signs 2.9% above the efficient price and regular diesel was 3% above,” according to the report.
